Durham University Chemical Society (DUCS) was founded for the benefit of chemical science students at the University. Today DUCS welcomes anyone with an interest in chemistry and runs events thoughout the year for both the benefit of its members and the wider community.

DUCS is run by a great bunch of people who make up the executive. We organise events and talks for your wider education and encourage you to enjoy a social life, we keep you up to date with news and events via our e-mailing list. If you're still not sure then why not have a look at our gallery, to see the kind of things we get up to and post in the Forum to chat to current members or ask a chemistry question.

We do charge for membership, but its still one of the cheapest societies in the university; £3.50 for one year or £6 for life membership.

If your thinking about applying to Durham then why not ask some questions in the forum for prospective students?
